Pekvio ("we", "us", "our") provides a privacy-first personal finance tool that helps you understand your own financial documents. This policy explains what limited data we handle and how we protect it. By using Pekvio you agree to the practices described here.

Unlike most finance apps, we intentionally avoid collecting personal identity data. We do not ask for or require:

• Your full legal name, date of birth, or gender
• Your home address or phone number
• Your Social Security Number, national insurance, or government ID
• Your bank login credentials. We never connect to your bank or use aggregators like Plaid

Any personal details that happen to appear inside a statement you upload (such as a name printed on a bank document) are processed only to display your information back to you. They are never extracted into a marketing profile, sold, or shared.

• Account email: used solely to create your login and contact you about your account.
• Statements you upload: stored securely so we can show you your transactions and insights. These belong to you.
• Financial data you choose to add: accounts, goals, categories and notes you enter yourself.
• Basic operational logs: anonymised technical data needed to keep the service running and secure.

When you upload a statement, Pekvio automatically reads it and organises the transactions for you — turning your document into clear, actionable insights. This processing happens entirely on the data you choose to provide. We do not use your financial content to train advertising models, nor do we share it with data brokers.

Because you manage your own data, we don't need to verify who you are. You are the owner and controller of everything you put into Pekvio. This "data sovereignty" approach means there is no central identity profile of you for anyone to misuse.

• Your data is stored securely and protected with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
• We retain your data only while your account is active.
• You can delete individual statements, accounts, or your entire account at any time. Deletion is permanent.

You are always in control. At any time you can:

• Export all of your data in a portable format.
• Delete any document, record, or your whole account.
• Request information about the limited data we hold.

We rely on a small number of trusted infrastructure and AI providers solely to operate the service (for example, secure hosting and the AI that reads your statements). They process data only on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Pekvio is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
